More Pacu and Chao Praya Catfish!

The first session fishing for Mekong Catfish was so tiring that Gary along with Lek decided they wanted to continue targeting the species that can be taken on light tackle. The day was a bit slow early, so we moved bungalow once we took a few Pacu. The nice thing about this is that it illustrates clearly that Bungsamran is not just about the arm wrenching action that so many anglers have come to associate it with. By changing baits and tactics its quite possible to fish with light tackle and experience some exhilerating sport with fish in the 10LB to 35LB range too! Although the Chao Praya Catfish pictured below really tested the tackle it has to be said! With long fast runs stripping close to a 100mtrs of line of the spool. Lek needed some help with this one!
