What language do they speak in Thailand? Will I have trouble communicating there if I only speak English?

Thai is the official language of Thailand. English, however, is widely spoken in Thailand since tourism is the major industry here. So, it is not difficult to get by with English in Bangkok, however in the provinces it can be more difficult. And remember your hosts will be with you most of the time.

What is the weather like in Thailand?

Thailand is a long country which covers a wide area. Therefore, the climate varies throughout the country. While in Bangkok and in the south of Thailand, it can be quite humid and warm. Temperatures will usually range from the mid-70s to the mid-80s. There is also the possibility for afternoon showers on many days in the summer time. In the north of Thailand, it is cooler and less humid, with temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to the mid-70s and getting fairly cool in the evening.

What do we eat on this trip?

During your holiday you will have many chances to taste the local cuisine that Thailand is known for. Pad Thai, green curry, and papaya salad are some of the local favorites. We either eat at Bungsam Villa, or the lake restaurants, or if the group are having a night out then we find eating venues to suit everyones taste. When in the provinces a selection of restaurants will still be available. At most places that we travel too, western food will be available as well, in case you get a craving for those old favorites like pasta or hamburgers.

How will we travel in Thailand?

We will travel in an air conditioned pick up. Or on evenings out in an air conditioned taxi. Remember that your Itinerary is flexible, so you won't be forced to travel anywhere, and when we do its always with air-con'!

Do I need a visa to travel to Thailand?

No. United Kingdom citizens travelling to Thailand are automatically granted a 30-day tourist visa upon arrival. If you are not a United Kingdom citizen, you may require a visa. Please call the Thai High Commission for more information in your country of residence.

What is the time difference between Thailand and the UK?

Thailand is 6hrs ahead of British summer-time.

What is the best part of this holiday?

Where to start! I'd like to say if you are in anyway unhappy with your trip we will give you a refund....but Naaa! If you don't enjoy any part of this holiday we will be as disappointed as you. Just visiting Thailand is an experience many people want to repeat over and over again once they have been here. The Fishing will be like none you've experienced, and its diverse enough to please even the most fickle of anglers. Your hosts simply want you to enjoy yourself and we will be doing our best to make sure that you want to return and stay with us in the future, we want to share in some great fishing experiences with you.
